2007 THAILAND TOURISM AWARDS[ 15 May 2007 ]

The 2007 Thailand Tourism Awards is a special edition of the biennial tourism awards programme initiated by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in 1996. These new awards are being launched as a tribute in honour of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX, of Thailand on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 80th birthday anniversary in December 2007. The awards presentation ceremony will be held in the same month.
TAT LAUNCHES ‘AMAZING THAILAND’ PHOTO CONTEST-[ 22 Mar 2007 ]

From now to 15 May 2007. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the ‘Amazing Thailand Photo Contest’ to mark the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 80th birthday anniversary in 2007.
THAILAND TO BE NEXT HOST OF ASEAN TOURISM FORUM 2008[ 15 Feb 2007 ]

Thailand fielded the largest sellers contingent at the 26th ASEAN tourism Forum in Singapore and is anticipating a good year ahead in the lead up to hosting the 27th ATF in Bangkok in January 2008.

The total of 112 individual hotels, tour operators and attractions comprised 20 per cent of the total number of 552 country sellers listed in the directory of the annual event held in Singapore between 29 January to 2 February 2007, the most important show on the ASEAN tourism calendar.

Numerous other Thai companies were represented as part of the 107 companies exhibiting under the corporate umbrella.
